Tracking & security devices

On the subject of tracking devices does anyone use them? any recommendations? There have been several vehicle thefts in my neck of the woods, at least one vehicle was recovered undamaged because of a tracking device.

And, I'm also interested in what people think of the FL2 alarm - is it any good? has anyone upgraded their system?

cheers folks Thumbs Up

the alarm makes a noise, the noise is ignored by most, and regulation make it too quiet, so i would not worry too much, just enjoy the car and pay your insurance premiums, Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The problem is that there have been some thefts in my area recently, some of them LR's - very popular for their parts apparently! I was given a price for a Clifford alarm with a tracking module supplied and fitted for £330 all in, plus annual tracker subs of £65. The Clifford alarm is meant to be quite a lot better than the LR item but I lack the experience to be able to say wether it's a good idea or not. Apparently the tracker will text me when the alarm goes off and I can disable the vehicle via my phone that sounds like a good idea to me but I'm really interested to heard what other owners think
