During or north coast 500 trip we went to Orkney for a few days , weather was great until we where heading to the mainland on Monday . Two sailings were cancelled and combined into one at 12 o'clock . To say it was rough was an understatement , people all over the ferry being sick (not me) .
Orkney is a great wee island , nothing is far away and not a traffic light to be seen . On a serious not if you fancy doing the NC500, book accomidation in advance .. Everything was booked apart from a crap hotel in drumbeg , you guest it that's where we ended up .. It was a bed . We arrived in Inverness today and again not a room in a hotel or b&b to be has , we ended up in a hotel in avimore . Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!
