I Have used Q-Bond many times to fix all sort of materials. It goes hard so you can file and drill it. See if you can get yourself some at an auto spare supplier.

each time i put the car in the garage i have to close the mirrors.the other night i did that but the following morning i stupidly pressed the open mirrors buttons instead of the window down button whilst at the same time reversing out of the garage hence the damage. a costly mistake .will post the final bill. |

Hi retired fitting your new mirror is a bit of a headache you have to remove all the door trim. And the inside grab handle. Trim from around the window and remove the door panel to get to mirror fixings. I did one on mine and got so far I had to carry on

Have you any tips on how to remove the door trim and grab handle. I have removed the old mirror by just peeling back the window surround but it is impossible to reach the electrical connections. I can only see two self tapping screws in the door trim? Otherwise it is back to the dealer! Regards John |
