wipers

i saw that the rubber on my wipers isnt really in top condition

where the best place to get a complete set ? just pop to halfords or order from somewhere online ?

is it worth upgrading these items or just stay with what ever was on there in the 1st place

If what brand and type of wiper is also part of the question, I happened to try both Bosch and Trico flexi wipers to see which ones I preferred.

Was not satisfied with either the looks or performance of the Bosch, but I really love the Tricos! Don't know if they are also on sale in the UK, though...

I went to Halfords and they have two brands of wipers, Halfords branded and Bosch, the former being slighty cheaper. They will also fit them for a fee. Fortunately for me they did not have the right ones in stock so I nipped down the road to the local main dealer who not only had the correct Land Rover wipers in stock they fitted them free while I had a (free) coffee - and the best bit - it was a couple of quid cheaper than Halfrauds.

Valeo seem to be identical to the original apart from a small logo. Mine were slightly smeary at first but are now fine. Some Land Rover oem blades have a special soft compound, which is why they wear out quicker. Not sure if that applies to Freelander though. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.
