Thanks - best I've seen online is 12Gb for £25 unless you know of any better offers. Very Happy

At home now and just checked it again - 10.23 Mbps - better than the landline one in work! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

???????? CG

That's a good deal if you don't have a landline I suppose but I wouldn't say that's any good for me. £30 a month on a 2 year contract and you only get 100mb a month EU use. That's mainly for UK use and im okay for that. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I went for 30mb for £25 at the time, paid for a month used that then had to pay for next month on cancellation.if you just wanting it for a month on holiday etc cancel your plan 30 days before your return date to avoid overlap

Many farmers on 'farming forum' have these plans due to the remoteness of many.
'
I see now about the abroad usage, possibly best idea there is to go into a local 'car telfon worhausen ' when you get there, and get a local sim At work

Wish I'd have done that now. Can't get the damn thing to work in Spain - should have sorted out some settings properly before we went. Nothing for it now, I'll have to talk to her! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Steve
You have enabled international roaming in the menu of the device?

Andy, that's the only definite thing I did when I got into the settings before leaving the UK. Tried resetting it with the reset button but no joy. Grrrr. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Can you access the menu/dashboard on the device?
What does it say about connection ie. Is it connected to an unknown network or no network available?
Did you check coverage for your Sim provider as well.
realise probably telling what you already know but we might be able to help. also double check data roaming is on

I know '3' has good coverage where we are as last time I was out I bought a 3 PAYG sim for my phone as you get to use the minutes abroad. Regarding the setting up - Unfortunately you need a PC running through the device and then you type in 168.192 or something or other and it brings up the menu. As i can't access the Internet I can't do anything about the settings until I get back home. My fault - I should have brought my old 3G iPad. Might have a look around out here and see if I can buy an unlocked Spanish wifi unit and see if my '3' sim works in it. May even buy a local sim. I can leave it all out here anyway as it's the family villa and others can use it when they come out. Currently using a phone package and tethering onto that. Not cheap though. The unit's going back to Argos when I get home! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Steve - just chillax. Go and have a litre or 2 of sangria and enjoy your holiday. You really don't need to be telephoning all and sundry because if there is a problem there's sod all you can do. Smile and if world war 3 starts you will read about it 2 days later in the imported newspapers. Rolling Eyes MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Hi Steve
Yes you need the ip address of the device, you should be able to do this from your smartphone or tablet etc without the device being connected to a network.
Anyway I know it's frustrating had the same issue when I first tried at Christmas so made sure it was spot on for easter.
Sort it when you get home relax and enjoy your holiday

Yep. I make you both right. Thanks. I'll sort it all out for Italy in July and August when I get home although in July we have wifi where we are staying and in August all our friends will be with us so we won't need it too much anyway. Just would have been nice to sort something out for the family villa - only gets used a max of 8/10 times a year so not worth having a phone line and Internet installed. For now, I'll just keep buying add-ons and tethering from them. Adiós por ahora! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I'm a glutton for punishment. Bought a local sim - 2Gb for €15. Bloke swore it would work in my iPhone. It didn't. I've wasted enough of my holiday on sorting this out. Wife's banned me from even taking it back and having an argument about it. I'm done with the mobile internet thingy out here. Definitely! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
