Anyone near Keighley FL2 experts needed

There's a garage in Keighley selling a cheap 2012 freelander 2 basic mods but very low price
96k on clock
Manual

FSH ex company car (1 registerd keeper)
This garage does not have the best rep reading online.
They have hundreds of cars and was hoping if anyone was local ( I'm at Bradley ) if they wouldn't mind having a quick look with me as I'm absolutely useless...m
Obviously beers tokens would be given for your time.

I know the moral of the statement buy cheap buy twice.

But for the price it could be a gem

Also checked previous mot and it had one advisory
It was emissions too clean WTF lol

Censored

looks like a great price for a one owner car - even with the basic S specification, and just out of manufactures 3yr std warranty
I wonder if it has an extended warranty....Would be a steal if it did

Just spent a good hour having a look, listen taking photos/videos asking questions.
Price is too good to turn down really for 2012 build.

So some facts
Full land rover history until 86k
Ex farm vehicle I can gather, one previous owner , something like j d produce (farm) due to under body of the vehicle I'm presuming somewhere in Worcester as I noticed Landover was serviced there if I recall correctly...
Don't know why it's getting sold this far up north (alarm bells ringing)

Guy at place told me MOT running out in June (no advisory's) just checked online it was MOT two days ago (one advisory , emissions too clean, also checked another freelander there exactly similar mot same advisory again, alarms bells going again)

The car showroom so to speak is a multi story car park which has every car you can think of, from lambos to saxos.
500 advertised on there site.(doesn't get amazing reviews)

To be fair they were fine with me , give me keys told me car was two floors up and feel free to take your time, start engine please just don't drive it around (due to amount of cars)
They didn't hassle me at all

Car from exterior looked very nice , no issues until I looked underneath.... And under bonnet, mud everywhere. Absolutely caked can't do a full inspection.

Please see photos to let me know what you think...

Also inside vehicle initially looked clean but as you can see from pics mud caked in all the nuts/cranny's/vents.

On starting up from cold fired up straight seemed to run smooth please watch video and let me know as I'm no expert whatsoever...
Please be honest as well..

Gears felt okay but unsure how they should feel.

Another thing the trip computer kept flashing up bonnet open(triednslamming it a few times)and once I left the vehicle it wouldn't lock it beeped at me. I (maybe due to sensor on bonnet)

All blowers seemed to work, lights, indicators, 3 of the tyres were in very good condition good year and the nsr was quite worn and different brand(not sure road legal but didnt measure again (another red flag warning)

Please see photos and video and let me know if I should take a punt...
8500 but possibly be able to knock down ( don't know how much as it's cheapest in UK)

Other freelander opposite was a year older but HSE spec was prices at 3k more similar miles (another warning whys it so cheap)

Is there any other checks I can do?

Sorry about the mangled mess I'm on my phone.

The inside condition may indicate the car was half submerged in water.
Will not buy one in this condition unless you are looking for a car to go in to the offroad world and upgrade to full size 4x4 later

I dont see it ever have been in a flood - it would be CAT C/D then - even IF they could get the electrics to work afterwards - which is very doubtful

I strongly suspect it was just a farm car, adn as such they do get beyond dirty inside (I know from experience) , which is probably why thy chose the S Spec.

Might be worth asking to see the paperwork - V5 etc, then contact previous owner, or look them up, if they own a farm, then its a fair bet it was their runaround

either way, most of the dirt will be neigh on impossible to get at and remove.

would depend on the warranty, and who/what previous owner did - but probably

the dirt underneath looks fair enough, the dirt inside doesn't look floods to me, i also think well used farmers car

if it had been submerged then i think it would be in a worse state inside

did you you look in the fuse box, they might be full of mud if submerged

the engine cover and rear air ducting looks quite clean which makes me think resent work/replacement

maybe the supplying dealer could shed light on its use? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Looks a damn good FL2 for the price.

The vehicle "is what it is" irrespective of history and where it's being sold.
You're the one that's there, trust on your gut feeling.
From here, I'd give it a punt.

Thumbs Up FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

No I didn't think to look hopefully test driving tomorrow, will have another gander ,

Cheers lads like I say I'm useless.....
I'm just scared the mud caking maybe hiding potential problems.

Can the car be MOT on condition like that how would they check pipes/corrosion etc.
It was only MOT two days ago according to government mot checker.

Like I said garage didn't have much on it. Showed me log book with company on
J D Produce down Worcester , can't get a company number, but I've emailed local Landover garages confirming service stamps etc.

Is it possible to pull out airvents and clean as I don't fancy breathing all that In and wouldn't want my children breathing it in.

Just HPI it no issues selling 1000 cheaper than it should for mileage.

Just wish I knew some handy car guys as I'm part ex my trusty Vauxhall meriva.

Is there any company's that check cars over, I don't fancy forking out 400 notes for AA to check

Your best bet if you're unsure is to get an AA vehicle check done.
Just think of it as an extra £100 or so on the price of the vehicle.
If it's a duffer, then £100 (or so) is better lost than the cost itself of the fl2

Edited to add: didn't realise an AA check is £400 Shocked FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

I work in the Agrochemical sector and our field staffs cars look exactly like that! The interior dust comes from driving up and down field tracks in the summer and off their clothes/boots. It gets everywhere and wouldn't worry me. The surface mud on the underside probably came from driving along wet tracks and not necessarily from crossing muddy fields. A couple of farmers near to where I live run FL2's. They even use them to pull livestock trailers. Is there an independent Land Rover dealer nearby you can take it to? I've asked garages to take cars to be inspected before and usually they are happy to help. My FL2 was regularly driven up and down farm tracks without any problems-that is what they were designed to do.

Regardless of submerged or not, the FL2 reliability record is not that great so together with the bad treatment it got from previous owner i will never recommend buying this car.
