Did not know he was into nuns!

Anyway back to insurance just had a renewal quote off Allianz of £488 slightly up on last years
£260. I have sent them a nice email asking if they " are avin a larf" if so I do not find it very funny.

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Izmir Blue

Your post reminded me to close the original post off. Aviva were (eventually) very helpful, but only after I made a formal complaint. Surprise surprise, they finally came back and agreed with me, refunded the admin charge, and reduced the premium back down to around £300. Let's see what happens come renewal time, shall we?

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Firenze Red

Today I received a home insurance renewal from a well known company. It had gone up by roughly 10%.

Phoned the freephone number and winged as my income is going up precisely 0%.

Now paying less than last year. Thumbs Up So where is logic in that Banging Head FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current

One of my sons is moving to a rural part of Scotland and called the insurer about change of address. The quote went up from £500 to £1500 ! The guy on the phone said that the only thing that he could see that might affect it was that there had been some flooding in the area a few years back. We tried a different company and got a more sensible quote. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto
Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE

daughters been with aviva, got renewal and price went up quite a bit, did a quote online with aviva so much cheaper, same company same details

they said to get price that policy had to be cancelled and a new one taken out, they couldnt match it.

told its always best to shop around early for insurance as soon as you get renewal quote as time runs up to your renewal they put prices up as then know you cant be without it.

I was with NFU for over 15 years - didn't even look elsewhere.
Every year I had to cancel the renewal offer and take out a new policy - this meant I never went past year 1 membership as I was always a "new customer". it usually saved around 10%.

When I bought the Ewok, the "upgrade" from the FL2 meant the insurance went up from around £900pa to £1,400pa.
So I went with LV - it's now around £450 for a 66 plate Disco sport for work use.

I can't even comment on how good/bad NFU were as I never put in a claim - hope to do the same with LV Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

I'm with direct line, have been for four years now, always cheaper with good cover including business, no change for changing details and not automatic renewal.
Regardless which company your with the real test is if you claim. Common sense isn't very common.
