Sorry, no Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

dunno what the pressure is, but it's high. The ac system takes around 700g of gas

Howzit!!
So, in our hot summer on holiday my aircon stopped working.
With my return to home I took it to a proper aircon company this time. I was convinced that the compressor broke as a re-gas did not cure the noise previously at a basic workshop.
Shocked they stated that the compressor is fine and a re-gas made it silent again.
They are positive that i have a leak and put some dye in the gas to find te leak and I must return in a week or two.
After two days or so I could hear the noise starting in the background thus it has to be if the pressures or not 100% correct.
Will keep you posted.

The mention of a leak is interesting - I have had to regas every 12 months to keep the noise at bay and I did question whether there was a leak but the engineers said that they always put a dye in anyway to check for leaks but had found none.
Another post mentioned that a particular make of A/C Compressor was liable to be noisy if the pressure drops only slightly. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?
