As the header says I've done 10 000 miles in the new car and can't complain.

It's been smooth and comfy to drive and will push through bends at a fair rate when asked.
It encourages me to enjoy my commute more and I have slowed down, setting the cruise control for 60ish on the dual and MWay. Thanks to 6 miles of 40mph through roadworks the slowing down part is keeping points away from my licence. The lofty driving position seems to be encouraging me to waft along!

Have had two faults. One was one key fob sometimes not working, battery removed and resoldered and no problems since.
Other was boot not unlocking except for on the fob. Tailgate switch LR020997 was replaced by Jamison Land Rover when it was in for service.

Apart from a service at 80 000 miles and four new tyres the only other additions have been a dog guard, a boot protector from Lidl and a Costco rubber boot mat.

Am finding the old Fourtrak hard to drive now as it's just so different. It may be sold soon as son is learning to drive and will soon have his own car on the driveway.
Have yet to take the Freelander where I take the Fourtrak but may do in the next few weeks. It hasn't carried a ton bag of firewood yet but will give it a try soon. It has however carried 10 4x4 6ft posts and 3 sheets of 6ft tin roofing. Rear seats folded and front passenger seat moved slightly forward.
As for going to fell and cut the trees I will have to have a look at moving away from a road based tyre to the Grabber or if I can get the BFG AT2 in the right size.

All in all it's been an enjoyable 4 months and wishing I had scratched the Freelander itch sooner! 2013 FR2 HSE Lux
