spoiler vs lacquer problem

Hello,

I've MY2015 (2014 made) Freelander II with spoiler added by authorized dealer.
The lacquer is stripping on Pillar-D at the both(!) sides of tailgate.

Mouting element is too big.
Factory mounted spoiler will be problem free because it doesn't have this mouting element.

Anyone has the same problem?
How Land Rover deal with this problem, is there developed any new smaller spoiler's holder??

Could you do without the side clips and retain the spoiler using double side adhesive strip in that area instead?
The standard LR rear spoiler although it does have clips is very well retained without them and just the adhesive strip?

Dealer used double side adhesive strip too, but I wan't to decide my own not to use these clips. Only if it will be official dealer's recommendation.

The nearest dealer is 100miles away, I'll try to call by phone first. I am wonder if someone had the same problem and what dealer done. MY2011 TD4 S Manual

Your clips look like the same as on mine but mine doesnt catch.
Is your spoiler or tailgate very slightly off centre? is there more clearance on the opposite side or does it catch there too?

Maybe tailgate is slightly off centre but It catches both sides so in my opinion is no centering problem. MY2011 TD4 S Manual
