PDC Technical Bulletin

I have just dropped my car off for some unrelated warranty work and the dealer has said that there is a technical bulletin for the PDC on constant problem when it is wet. They are going to replace the rear sensors ( the bulletin only covers the rear sensors ) but I am having the problem on both front and rear sensors, sometimes the front stay on other times the rear and sometime both i.e. select reverse when nothing near and the sensors alternate between front and rear.

LR will only replace rear under warranty as per bulletin. Dealer is not sure if a fault with the rear will affect the front so is going to replace rear and then soak front of car to try to see if they can get it to fail.

Is anyone else having problems with the front sensors?

I will let you know how things go.

I spoke to the service manager and I am now not sure that there is an official TB. He said that he had a meeting with someone at LR and he authorised the replacement with the new un-painted sensors. Apparently the old sensors were painted ( even though they were already black ) and this is what is causing the problems.

They have only changed the rear and preasure washed the front and there was no problems so maybe the rear was causing the problems with the fronts as well. I will have to wait until the next heavy rain shower to see if this has fully fixed the problem.

OK thanks timmy - my dealer tried pressure washing the sensors but that never really made the fault happen - it always does it when you have driven in a good downpoor which could be that the moisture is getting in from the behind the sensor. On holiday for a week now so here comes the rain Big Cry
