when you change from main to dip you can here both lights make a noise.

checked all fuses and relays, couldn't get to f18 60amp though.

Do you mean where are they (passenger compartment) or you cannot physically get at them? (Are you able to remove the glove box?)

FE17 and FE18 are written on the black plastic on the left edge of the engine fuse box.

it appears they are on some sublevel of this fuse box and rated to 60amps.

I spent some time in the basement of Geneva airport underground carpark trying to sus.

its also written on the cover of this fuse box.

do the upper fuses lift out?

They are under a cover on the battery side of the fuse box and are vertical,

You release the cover by prising the U clip and sliding the cover up

You can't see the fuses without taking the battery box out but with thin fingers you should be able to feel if it's blown
I've circled the top bolt of the 3 fuses

in my opinion this situation you are left with is shocking.

your car must either still be under warranty or just out of warranty?

get back to the dealer and tell them to get their finger out their ass and fix it.

Call Land Rover Assistance as if you're still in Warranty you're covered in Europe. Call using the outside UK number on the card in the blue folder. They will send out an approved technician who will either fix it on the spot or provide an alternative means of transport/accommodation.

The Vehicle is not uk registered and I have nothing to indicate Land rover assistance nothing was in the Car.

It was a German car privately imported into Switzerland.

not sure if or anything that I'm covered with.

Two 60 Amp fusible links in the battery junction box protect the power feed to the CJB LH and RH lighting circuits respectively. All exterior lighting circuits are protected by Field Effect Transistors (FETs), located in the CJB, which can detect overloads and short circuits. The FETs respond to heat generated by increased current flow caused by a short circuit. On a normal circuit this would cause the fuse to blow. The FETs respond to the heat increase and disconnect the supply to the affected circuit. When the fault is rectified or the FET has cooled, the FET will reset and operate the circuit normally. If the fault persists the FET will cycle, disconnecting and reconnecting the power supply. The CJB stores fault codes which can be retrieved using a suitable diagnostic scanner.

Is there a hard reset on the Freelander?

have a disco and you disconnect the battery after everything has gone to sleep and touch the two battery connectors together.

is the radio coded or any issues if I disconnect the battery?

thanks

That's the same hard reset for the FL2.
