Not more money.

Driving kids to school yesterday and bang, stone chip on windscreen which by the time I'd got back home was a foot long cracking. Another £75 payout.

I take it the £75 is the insurance excess. Thumbs Up

Certainly is. Hopefully that's it for spending on necessary items and I can spend some money on non essential things to make it look better.

Blame the council, ive seen them spreading some stones on the road specifically for the purpose, they must get a back hander from the insurance companies, they think if we cant catch this guy on the speed cameras and fine him we'll put a few stones down to break his windows instead, and we'll mix a bit of salt in with it so if that doesnt work his car will rot out.
Heated screens fitted are around £700 ive heard?

It's not a heated one, not sure on cost either as I've gone through insurance company, I've just paid £75 excess.

Yes …..

I can confirm that the heated LR front-screen was nearly £800 fitted, so well worth the £75 excess.

I was also successful in asking the local council highways dept to consider covering that cost as they had left the loose chippings for days. They paid up promptly too, once I'd provided specific about location, timing, my speed etc.! Razz Life is not a dress rehearsal!
