Drivers Door Central Locking

Hi there, new to the forum as this is my first FL2 so you will have to excuse me if this is an easy fix.
Have read through many of the threads and can`t appear to find anyone who`s had a similar issue to what I`m currently experiencing. Around 2 weeks ago I intentionally set the alarm off to ensure everything was working, big mistake!!!!! Now I can`t open the drivers door from the inside unless I use the center console button. However, if I open the passenger door first, hey presto the drivers door opens ok, also if the key fob is left in the ignition it opens. I guess there are loads of experienced Freelander 2 people on here so if someone could help me out, I`d be really grateful. Many Thanks

Try a hard re-set and then read your owners manual on how to set the doors as you have a few options like drive away locking or one door opening (drivers door). FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Thanks for the reply Yorky Bob and excuse me for being so stupid here, but whats a hard reset and how do you carry it out. Have read the manual a understand the other points you suggested, but no idea on the hard reset. Cheers for being patent.

Take off the battery cover.

Slacken off the 2 battery leads

Lift off leads (earth first) and hold the two leads together for at least 10 minutes.

Re-connect leads (earth last), cover back on

Reset clock, windows etc. job done.

Older cars benefit by having a extra earth lead down to stater motor area, some info if you search with pictures and length. Newer cars have one from new. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
