Hi, I just fitted a power point in the boot of my freelander 2, using the wires that would go to the tow bar if i had one (fuse F9)

don't know about electrics but are you sure you haven't a short, which is passing a current to the lights |

it seems to only be when theres a high usage plugged into it, I pretty sure theres no short as I didn't interfere with any other wires. |

it is abit strange as when i connect my caravan my light don't automatically come on, so its not a safety design feature |

I think some others have tapped into the tupperware box next to the spare wheel possibly using an in-line fuse |

from memory it attaches to a bolt holding down the tupperware box?
