As you can see they appear good quality unless like Philips they delaminate and are on OE LR bases.

Yes Phillip, dealer wanted my first born man child to do it on delivery as the part was unavailable in Australia as we never got that grill design with black spars, so I decided to do it afterwards. Depending on your view on this some members on here have painted the spars in situ on the vehicle but as I wanted a factory finish the body shop removed the bumper and dismantled the grill so they could just paint the spars. From memory the grill has two parts plastic
Welded to the bumper. One is the silver part and the other is the black surround. Painting is easy it's the labour/time to do it which is expensive. If you have a good body shop in Sydney (lol I lived there for 7 years and there's plenty ) they should be able to do without dismantling the grill. But if your like me and wanted nothing left to chance
I went for the full Dismantle. If you look in the pic below you really only need to remove the silver trim to expose the spars for painting but unfortunately the black surround part is welded through this so both have to be removed. It's well worth it though, I'm glad I went to all the trouble and was worth every cent!
I had both the grill and Styling Bar done at the same time so I don't have a price just for the grill, sorry. They did comment that the grill part was a - Opps!!
I also went through the body shop authorised by Land Rover and does all the dealers warranty work so they were familiar with what I was after and I think that would be a good starting point for you in Sydney.
The OE colour is Santorini Black BTW even though LR's other parts are Narvik Black. Santorini Black will match the black grill surround I'm assuming you have (same as mine)?

Mine looked identical and I could have sworn they were good quality - Andibitz (on eBay) said it can happen with drastic changes in temperature so perhaps going to Canberra was too much of a shock!

All of Stu's pics seem to be screwed up...

Anyhow, the black badges from eBay are poor i'm afraid...

They just don't seem to cope with the Australian sun and the heat here.

I'm still annoyed about mine - did exactly the same thing - pics on another thread somewhere.

I got a replacement set sent out, and they did exactly the same thing too. No extremes of temperature here - it was mild weather in the UK, and the front and rear badges (both sets) parted ways with the base within 10 days. I applied one set with gentle heat, and one set without.

Even the side pillar badges which are made differently (Metal badge stuck to a plastic base) peeled away from the base within days.

To summarise - do NOT waste £100 on Ebay badges from Andibitz on Ebay, buy the Gel overlay badges for £16 - they are much better! I wouldn't be so annoyed at it if they were a reasonable price, but they are not. I wish these stories were around before I bought mine!

Mine are still hangin in there and the grill and tailgate are looking like brand new. C pillars are just starting to look a little sun damaged but that pretty normal for here!
My car is garaged most of the time.
