No throttle response, 1200rpm idle, HDC, traction/dsc faults

Hello all, new to the forum! looking for some advice
The old man has a 61 plate Freelander 2 TD4 xs, manual, with stop/start and DPF, it's done 35kmiles. A couple of months ago the throttle pedal started to play up, live data showed it never made 100% and the readings were irratic, also had a fault code for throttle pedal. It would throw a fault code eventually and would go into limp mode. New pedal fitted and codes erased, all was good.

Fast forward to yesterday, started car, to be greeted by 'terrain response unavailable' then the dsc/traction light, ABS, the idle then rose to 1200rpm and the throttle is unresponsive, cycled the ignition a few times, no joy. Limped to work on idle, read fault codes:
p164c-00 control module stop start performance
u0415-68 invalid data from abs module
p2122-00 throttle position sensor switch d low input
p060d-00 internal control module accelerator position

Now there was a rattle from the 'throttle body' and a bit of a rough engine shut off, and, as I know this is common failure, I chucked a new one on to rule it out. Cleared faults went for 50 mile ride, various speeds/stop starts. No faults. Great! .. drop it home, dad jumps in 5 mins later, starts it up to put it on the drive, boom, all faults reoccur.

Has anyone experienced such faults?! Thanks in advance
