Hope someone can give advice on this. 2009 FR2 2.2 diesel.
First started with going into limp mode whilst excellerating up hills. Thought it could be fuel related so changed filter.
Tried again, problem still there. This time fault code indicated maf sensor. Changed that. Problem still there but now it coughed and jolted under excelleration. Searched the site and this suggested the 'crank position' sensor. Changed that. Fault still there, now code says map sensor. Have just changed that. Took car for another drive, still coughing and jolting but as yet no limp mode or codes.
Would welcolm input from anyone with more knowledge.

Can't believe there has been 75 people reading this so far and not one hint or tip. Someone out there must have had the same problem or knows what the fault could be.

Is there no one out there that is technical. 94 reads and no response.

Fact is, gasman, you seem to have changed all the likely items. You really need to get a full scan done at a LR dealer or experienced indy before spending any more cash.

Its nice to know there is someone out there.

I'm not done yet, car still works, but when I get a bit more time I'll start to strip a few things down.
The problem must be a 'boost' problem. It's not the turbo as it still spools up ok, acceleration can be fer-nominal.
I am going to strip out the 'inter-cooler' hoses next and check for leakage.
Trouble is the boss has me installing a new bathroom suite at the moment.

Any suggestions would be welcome no mater how far fetched.

If I find the answer I'll post it.

Make sure the bath feet are firmly fixed to the floor and it is accurately levelled up above a wall batten. Make sure it is solidly fixed to the wall & use plenty of best bathroom grade silicone at the wall joints. Fill with water before tiling.......

EGR perhaps? Might be worth blanking it to rule it in or out.

Only other thought is back to the fuel system - a blockage somewhere perhaps.

I was wondering about the erg, so I have ordered a blanking plate to try and eliminate it.

I just fixed a problem with our FL2 that was causing it to judder/surge at a specific point on the accelerator pedal. It was a split air hose connected to the throttle body.

I found it due to a louder than normal 'whoosing' sound when accelerating.

You're welcome - we bought the replacement hose from Bearmach. I can't remember the price but they were cheaper than the dealer.

Quick update for anyone checking this thread.
Fitted a partial blanking plate between the egr pipe and the throttle body (small hole in middle so as not to cause fault code), as surgested.
Stripped out throttle body, checked and cleaned. Appeared OK
Removed and checked pipework and hoses from throttle body to turbo. Again appeared OK
Took the car out to the motorway to check. Hard excelleration and it went like a rocket. Eased of then excellerated again and turbo started to wheeze again causing the car to jolt.
After some testing it appears the problem is only apparent between 2000 and 3000 rpm. Therefore if you excellerate hard from a stand the revs rise too quickly for the problem to manafest. But if you are cruising and then put your foot down it starts to wheeze.
No fault codes registered now.

Any idears would be appreciated.
