United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Santorini Black
Hardwire USB

Quick question: what product do people use when they are hardwiring USB sockets for charging things?

I set up a lighter socket in the glove box to power my dashcam which works fine but at some point in the future I would like to swap that for a double socket USB setup, so I can power dashcam and charge my phone.

I could always simply plug a USB charger in to the existing socket, but Ive seen peopel on here say they have fitted direct USB sockets but with no links to the product used.

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Firenze Red

I used one of these from eBay, and then plugged it into a fuse tap. Red wire connects to the fuse tap, black wire to a bolt next to the fuse box in the passenger footwell.

Hope that helps! 2013 SD4 Auto HSE Luxury Firenze Red
