United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Izmir Blue
Changing the seats

I am looking at swapping my seats in my car, i currently have full leather with manual adjust and i want to put in some half leather electric adjust and heated seats i have seen in work (i work in a breakers yard, so can get the parts for next to nothing Very Happy ) can anyone tell me if they are just a straight swap along woth the heater controls (as they have the heated seat buttons on them). My car is a 2007 Gs model.

Are the replacement seats from a Freelander 2 or from something else?

If they're FL2 seats then you should be able to swap them over. If there's a control module on the old seats then that will need to be transferred to the replacements, and you'll need to have a look to see if you've got the wiring in place to connect the heating elements. Gordon

Heating will probably be a problem if existing seats are not heated. 12v feed from rear fuse box won't be there, but console wiring will be biggest issue I think. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Not easily, but look to see if there's a fuse in the right place and have a look for a set of sockets under the seat. It's likely the wiring is there as it'll be part of the vehicle's loom, but the switches etc. won't be.
