Michelin CrossClimate Tyres

Normal all season tyres are seen as the jack of all trades, master of none. Unlike proper summer tyres or proper winter tyres of course. Swapping between summer and winter tyres comes with some hassle and some argue they are not justified in the UK anyway.

Now, Michelin claims to have the answer. One set of tyres which will perform just as well as premium summer tyres and winter tyres (or at least as near as makes no difference). http://www.michelin.co.uk/tyres/michelin-crossclimate

What do you make of these? It would be interesting to hear the view of our sponsor AJS. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

2014 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Loire Blue

Sounds the same as the Goodyear vector 4 seasons (have used I think 3 sets now)which have been around for years and perform well for our climate. I would like to see a test of these michelins against the Goodyears as a four/all season will be My next tyre purchase.

Yes interesting option. As reported on this forum there seem to have been some problems with GY Wranglers recently -I have to say my originals were brilliant. I am currently on GY Efficient Grips which have also been excellent.
I will retire my tyres soon so wondering what to replace them with.......

Game changer apparently and has been compared to the Goodyear: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/Miche...hanger.htm LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I changed my Wranglers for General Grabber GT's and wouldn't buy anything else now. Great in the snow and ice, quiet and good in the wet and the dry summer (??) weather we have had so far. As all season tyres go, the Grabber GT's are brilliant Thumbs Up
