Witter detachable towbar question

Hi All,

Looking for advice from anybody in the know! I bought a witter detachable towbar for my MY2013 a few months ago, and yesterday plucked up the courage to try and fit it. I'm not very handy or technical when it comes to cars, but in the absence of anybody who would fit it, i gave it a go.

I think i've done it, but one piece of the instructions I read wrongly has got me thinking. It relates to the "F" fasteners which are the two M14 bolts that go in vertically. The instructions say to leave the rearmost one loose, until the last, then tighten, but I did this with the forwardmost instead. All are tightened now, however should I untighten the rearmost, check all others are tight, and then retighted the rearmost F fitting, or am I just worrying over nothing?

For info, its to carry bikes, and ocassionally a trailer. Can't see me hitching a caravan on it any time soon.

Thanks

The reason to leave them loose is so you can get all bolts into the threads easily without risk of cross threading
if all went in ok and are now tight.
fret ye not Smile
