L.R freelander2 11 plate towbar wiring loom/module

I have had my ecu programmed to accept L/r freelander2 loom& towing trailer module now my reversing sensors don`t work.
but when I plugged the module + loom in (I bought second hand)the car does not pick it up ?
Do I need to revist the garage where I had it Programmed or is the module faulty?
can I hard wire Via scotch locks the 12s/n plugs?

Is the towbar wiring kit a genuine LR part? I had the same problem when I had a supposed towbar fitting place try and programme my genuine module ended up with no towbar electrics and no parking sensors. Once I took the car to LR and they reprogrammed the car with the proper programme all was working as it should. Parking sensors now work and are disabled when towing. Hope this helps. Regards

Alan

Having stood and watched my indy do it, I really don't understand how someone can screw this up.

1. Connect the Autologic
2. Turn on the ignition, and let the Autologic communicate with the car.
3. Download the current car configuration.
4. Change the "trailer module" from "not present" to "present".
5. When asked if this is a new module, say "yes" (even if it is second hand - it's new to YOUR car).
6. Change how you want the fog lights to work. Again, there are only two options.
7. Re-upload the modified configuration back to the car.
8. Total time elapsed? About 5 minutes - tops.
