United Kingdom 2013 LR2 TD4 Dynamic Manual Santorini Black

Has anyone ever had the experience, when turning left (why I don't know!) of a strong cold draught blowing
across, just for a second, and then going warm again? as if the heater suddenly blows cold.It has happened in
various models, not only Freelanders.

Stop larfin! this is a genuine question! Big Cry 2013 Dynamic Santorini black
2011 XS Lago grey
2007 HLS Stornoway grey
sometimes towing an Elldis AVANTE 574.

Personally I find that the heater does take an age to get to 'warm'... and strangely the blower to the windscreen is warmer, faster than the footwell blower.

Does that suggest some problem with the lower blower?

From what I'm led to believe the heater control unit will prioritise the engine first, so the motor warms up quicker to operating temperature. When that temp is reached then it will start to warm the cabin up.

Yep and the FL2 is not the only car it happens on, I think it's centrifugal force, the hot air gets moved about and most cars are biased for LHD operation. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.

the windscreen blower has an electric element to provide warm air to the screen for quicker defrosting so will get warmer quicker than the engine water heated section which heats the rest of the car,at least that's how I understand it!
