A friend used to run a big Chevy in the States (he just kept it there to use on his holidays - don't ask!). One day while I was there he got it serviced and asked what pressure to put in as the tyres were non-standard. They looked at the tyres, saw 70psi stamped on the side (this being the max permissible) and set them all to 70. It was undriveable, and I had to spend several days trying to persuade him to go back to the manufacturer's spec. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

I always stick to the label pressures. 35 on the 19's, but as FL2 didn't come with 20's like my summer wheels/tyres, I put 36psi in which seems to work OK.

Not worried about 'turn in' on a Freelander as they are not exactly set up for this type of driving. Thumbs Up Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Had new tyre fitted this week.
I've always got to check pressures afterwards and, as Mikehzz says, they are always over inflated in Oz.
36-37psi. Should be 32 on 18s

All I can think of is that they over inflate thinking that they'll get checked when back home and it's easier to take out air than add some.
