poor radio reception

not so much a new topic I agree, but after searching it seems there have been no other similar phenomenon experienced on this site.

I have a 2008 FL2 GS spec with the standard fit single disc unamplified head unit.

FM Radio reception is generally ok on all stations except for (dare I say it) Radio 1 Embarassed and my local Capital FM.

The 2 stations do not hold on RDS for most of the time in a variety of geographical regions and atmospheric conditions and reception is 99% 'crackly' when they do hold station.

Has anyone else experienced this 'selective' radio reception or have any idea what may be causing it ?

Out of interest my previous FL2 GS had exactly the same problem which LR claimed they cured with a 'free of charge, customer courtesy' software upgrade Rolling Eyes

It's your cars way of telling you don't listen to Radio 1, you are better than that. Smile
