Getting creative

Went out this morning trying to get some atmospheric shots of the fog in the valley, was quite disappointed with what I snapped. This afternoon, sat down and decided to see what I could rescue and I thought I would share this with you, I am pleased with the result, going to get it printed and framed in fact.

first shot, nothing special, taken this morning near Edgeworth in Lancashire.

Played a while to get it looking a little better, which it did, then I remembered I had these from a flypast in the summer.

Combined the two and this is the result

Hi Taz, looks great, although I think because you have turned the Lancasters round their light source appears from the right yet the original photo appears from the left. What do you think?

Yes I know that both were turned round but it looks like there are two light sources. I may be wrong as only have the iPad at the moment but it looks like the Lancasters have a shadow line?

Laughing very good, was that mIcrosoft paint ?

Rich, in both cases the sun was behind and to th left, the planes though where taken in summer when the sun was much higher, that probably accounts for it, well spotted though.
