They look more like solid nylon than polyurethane which in my opinion is a good thing - At the money maybe worth a go......

After a wad of research at the time I made my front spacers 20mm to avoid too much strain on the front drivetrain and any possiblity of the front driveshaft contacting the front subframe which other people had experienced with spacers 25mm+. I made the rears 25mm for an extra few mm ground clearance for the fuel tank but 20mm would be fine here too I think.

Also worth considering how you are going to secure the rear strut tops to body as the original strut bolts are welded to the strut top mount but are too short with any spacers fitted. The fronts are easier as you can get to both sides of the securing nut and bolt but only the top side is accessible at the rear struts.

Sounds good possibility though!

Sounds good!

What size of spacer are you going for on the front and are you going for the same size for the rear?

Yup they don't look so good really on first impression.......

The rear spacers in your picture look out of shape as they should be an exact circle and with the steel sleeves in the front spacers and bubbles in the rear spacers makes me wonder if these spacers are made more from a polyurethane rubber material rather than a solid nylon or aluminium material which is really what you want?

How solid / hard are the spacers themselves?

You could use them as templates & get a local plastics engineering shop make some new ones out of the correct plastic. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Given these spacers don't look the most consistent shape in the pics then if you wanted to go down the Engineering Shop route then I think I would be much more tempted to get your engineering shop to make up a set of spacers from the same drawings that I got mine made up from which forum member MihaiB sent to me a few years ago.

The Engineering Drawings for the front and rear spacers are in this previous thread ;

If you are going to the trouble of pulling the car apart. Probably better to put some taller springs in.
