LR2 sales dropped to 500 in May.

LR2 sales dropped by half to 500 units last month in America. Some are blaming gas prices (No diesel model currently available here). Gas hit $4 a gallon in the US and $1.35 a Litre here this weekend. Don't know the Canadian numbers but our car sales are up overall. It was mentioned in this article at blogs.cars.com last week.

Nice point. The sale to Tata might have contributed to the drop in sales.
The sales of the larger Ranges Rovers remained constant.

Interesting point Thumbs Up But as FL2 reliability rewievs are good and hopefully there will be no announcement of TATA mooving the factory sales will probably increase. As I understand the sales for the FL2 where quite over the expected figure so a calmming in sales might be normal.
Maybe this will mean that LR will start getting diesels in North America as well

As far as I can remember, Canada has always been more expensive than the US so it's no suprise their fuel is that price.

Just looked at XE.COM, converting it (if I've done it right) would make it $10 a gallon over here Shocked

Nah mate at current exchange rates $4 Canadian is £2 GBP.

So two quid a gallon.

My hearts bleeds.

I think with the FL2 and my old Mitsubishi I have personally redecorated Gordon Brown's bedrooms at Number 11. Big Cry

Don't forget that over the pond their gallon isn't as big as ours ....

In the UK we convert at 4.55 litres to the gallon .... over there it is smaller at 3.78 litres to the gallon ... and when times are hard every little helps, so their gas is (a bit) more expensive than it seems ... though still somewhat cheaper than the UK I grant you ...

Canadian gas should be cheaper since we are an oil producing nation. In the US they import most of their oil resulting in $4 per gallon gas.
