fuel pipe to filter, whats it made of?

Re the title whats the pipe made of?

Soft outa rubber with hard plastic inner pipe?

Plan on cutting mine and fitting an inline bulb hand pump but thought it might be worth asking before doing so, rather than poss running into problems Embarassed
