The statement is one engine comes off the line every 42 secs, not it is built in 42 secs. No mention of the time it goes on to the complete engine coming off the line. the time any manufactured item takes to make tends not to be promulgated for some reason rather preferring the end of line timing. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

That should be pre-empting Rolling Eyes I am disgusted by this. Sky News have got hold of the story now and the government say a Cobra meeting has been called to discuss this issue. Laughing Very Happy

Seems like the title was edited, don't tell me history is edited here, perhaps editing after replies should be limited as to content. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Thanks for link Taz, quite impressive that the robots can put an engine together in under a minute. That would make good watching.

(Off subject for a bit, but, do you use the Jett on your wheels Taz?)

I gave the title as a 'teaser' if you like, to attract members to the story, however, you choose to belittle my attempt so I edited it, as I or any member can do. If I did believe that an engine could be built in 42 seconds I would have placed the post in general or technical even, to promulgate the advancement in technology that Jaguar Land Rover have achieved.

I only try, if you don't like it then I suggest you pop on your zip up slippers and try the content of a bag of Werthers, which may be more to your taste.

Yes, I use Jett on my wheels too, it makes the cleaning of them so much easier, I know Nick uses something else, I forget the name, it needs careful application but is so much better than Jett, I am sure he will come along and share the info Thumbs Up

Yep for me too Thumbs Up

As to how accurate the title is or was .... does it really matter? Confused
Think there's far more important things in life that need "promulgating" than raising this as an issue. Rolling Eyes FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Taztastic, no attempt to belittle, just pointing out that generally all car industry ( or even many mass production lines) always state the time between each completed unit, tends to give the impression there is not time for care in assembly. However if you wish to get arsey about it , I suppose as a long standing Mod you have that prerogative to be pig ignorant Very Happy my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
