Am I just unlucky?

Over 3 years of flawless running and now the last 4 months of repairs.
Done all the recommended service, ran premium diesel, kept it warm at night in the garage.. what else can I do.
She's not got a lot of KMs.. just pushing close to 60,000..

So far:
1. Rear Diff - replaced under warranty
2. Flooded Passenger foot well - blocked AC drain that pinched under the carpet
3. Turbo charger

and not the Landy's fault, but got side swiped by a P plater..

I"ve had a scan of the forum.. the diff is well know and is under a recall, and the drain is a problem as well.

Any one else had a turbo failure? If it's going to be replaced, is there a aftermarket that has a better life span?

Just checking..

My previous car had a new turbo fitted. It would intermittently almost stall when at idle, lots of diagnostic work and parts changed, eventually traced to the turbo which they claimed had a 'bent' impeller shaft causing the turbo to stall and hence the revs dropped.
Rear diff and two NS rear wheel bearings too.

I am having the occasional "almost stalling" problem with my new purchase. Can you remember the error codes it was throwing up? I had a mate check mine over and it had some codes stored. I am running it for a week after clearing those to see if it is still throwing up the same errors. Mine also occasionally starts and then immediately dies. It then restarts as normal. It pulls well so I am unsure if it is a turbo problem. I may be asking for forum help in the next couple of weeks!!

Some great news!

Extended warranty is going to cover all the repairs. It would seem the corporate pack for vehicles has been worth every dollar.

They have to foot well completely pumped dry and the new turbo from Melbourne should be installed on Friday.

Biggest problem is that it's been off the road for 5 days, and it's not looking good to get it back for the weekend.

Not having a second car is such a first world problem

Mine wasn't producing any error codes and never actually stalled, the revs at idle would drop to a shuddering 3-400 for a second or so then recover. Various parts where changed over a course of about two months, sometimes it would cure it for a few days and then it would revert to the revs dropping. LR technicians got involved twice to have a look, on the final time the turbo was replaced and what they discovered was that the impeller was stiff in one spot, the tech could spin the impeller and it would always stop at the same point, they concluded this sticking point could be the issue. The new turbo did seem to cure the issue although I only had the car another 4 weeks as I swapped out for the red one.
Most of the engine sensors, DPF, EGR and turbo are all new, the car is currently for sale somewhere in North London, might be a good motor for someone.

Many thanks for the info. My symptoms are identical. Mine hasn't done it again since the fault codes were cleared which is a nuisance as I was hoping to eliminate other possible causes.

As a fairly new owner of one of the last MY15's can I assume that most of these issues were corrected???? Ie diff, bearings etc or am I in ecstasy land!!!☺️
My only issue so far has been a drivers seat that doesn't always go back into position on starting. Anybody else experienced this?
