fake wiper blades being sold online.

Evil or Very Mad Just been caught out buying fake Bosch wiper blades from amazon.
When I fitted them they made this awful screech and juddered very badly so I went to my mates garage who has the same Bosch blades on the shelf. When we compared them they were completely different my blades had cheap poor quality rubber which was held by a stiff metal strip that was covered in a fancy aero blade stile rubber cover. The supplied box was almost identical except the box listed the Freelander 2 on the recommended fitting list where the genuine ones do not.

I also noticed they are for sale on Ebay Censored

sad to say so much fake stuff about nowadays its best to buy from a local known source.
There is a well known motor parts supplier that has its own packaging company and manufactures boxes to suit what part it fancies !!!!!!!! what seems cheap isnt such a bargain !

Bosch have now started putting holograms on their genuine parts boxes.

You can often tell fake parts by sniffing the plastic ! if its a fake it normally smells of burnt plastic whereas genuine doesn't smell. Jaguar x-type sport gone

Amazon is full of fakes, as bad as Fleabay, many people think it is all legit but far from it.

You should report them as fakes so that others don't get stung also! I would never have imaged there would be fake Bosch wiper blades on the market Rolling Eyes just goes to show if your buying online to always buy from a reputable seller. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Why do people always mention Amazon and give it advertising (which is fine by me) but refer to eBay as a well known auction site or flebay Thud it just doesn't make sense Rolling Eyes what has eBay done to everyone that they do not mention it by its licensed name Laughing MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

There is fake everything these days, massive amount of fake medical and dental equipment being seized at present, some of it is unbelievable in how dangerous it is.

I reported the seller to amazon and they have frozen the sellers account whilst they investigate. They said they will refund my money so I won't be out of pocket.

I recon the fakes stuff originates from C***A not mentioning the full name. Landwind comes to mind.

Its amazing how far they will go these days to con folk for money and how easy it is to get taken in by it all to, maybe with dangerous consequences.
How long before theres fake FL2's fitted with genuine wiper blades?
We know the Chinese are very good now at making more or less anything including lookalike Evoques, what do they call them? Freewinders or something?

I buy all of my wipers off ebay for about £8 a set and they are fine, no MOT problems and they seem to last as long as the "proper" ones. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
