Just chopped my Evoque in for a new Metropolis (should have bought one originally) and had a quick question regrading the absence of the Extra Features menu button on the touch screen. The Evoque had it and it gave access to some basic info about 4WD, compass, altimeter and some other items including timed climate etc.

Before I make an arse of myself at the dealer can anyone advise if this button is present on newer Freelanders, the owners manual seems to indicate it should be but it definitely isn't there (I've checked the custom shortcut list where you can specify menu items to show on home screen).

Can't think why it would be missing if it is as the software would either have it or not.

There is no extra features menu on a Freelander.

Interesting that it is documented in the owners handbook though, specifically as the way to access the timed climate settings. Guess I'll stop by the dealer tomorrow for confirmation.

Owners Manuals are generic and not always accurate.
As far as I'm aware there is no timed climate option on UK spec Freelander's.

^^ as above. Russia only within the EU, or North America. Foraging near Gaydon....

Only the compass, altimeter and a few other minor bits are available in the 'off road' menu option.

I didn't have that feature on either of my Evoque's! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

Evoque 4x4 info screen appeared at the same time as the 9 speed auto gearbox and gives you access to a compass display.

Had an Evoque yesterday whilst mine was being serviced - one for the "fashionista" and doesn't mind bone jarring suspension and that's on 19"😱 god help your spine with 20's😱😱
Anyhow, same infotainment system as my MY15 FL2 but you could access the rear camera with a soft key and 4x4 info
Screen - so I can't see any reason other than software that would prevent us having this in our Freelanders, but I don't really know where to start!
Anybody got some suggestions??

As the thread topic says, we believe we have identified the fields (there's more than one) that will activate "rear camera on the move" and "4 x 4" information screens which will be accessed via the soft key "extra features".
