Does anyone know how to remove the pins from the plug that goes into the Integrated Control Module (aka radio control panel)?

I yanked out the 12V wire thinking that I won't be needing the plug anymore (was trying to replace the stereo myself). However, the replacement didn't go as planned and I am trying to re-install the old stereo.

When I pulled out the 12V wire, I seem to have left some part of the connector in the plug. I can't figure out how to remove this leftover bit or any of the remaining pins to see what the end connectors look like.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the pin is usually locked into place in the moulding by a metal tab on the pin. this can usually be released by
pushing a needle down the side to release it. good luck

There may also be an anti-backout feature which holds the brass terminal in the moulding should the metal lance fail. It's normally hinged at the rear of the moulding.
Beware that these terminals are machine crimped to provide a low resistance compression joint. You may not be able to re-use it unless you've left sufficient cable at the rear of the terminal to solder onto. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
