What a good idea! Very Happy

Again just dependant on location and date - The only place I could recommend which I think has been mentioned is the one at the Coniston hotel. Haven't shot here myself but did a little archery and the shooting ground looks decent.

Just an idea at the moment, if there's lots of non shooters, could do something like the last time at coniston hall, with the shooters going off for a round whilst the non shooters are done by the grounds team

As we 'NON shooters' have shot before at Coniston we have a pretty good idea of the seriousness of shooting and the application of it, so I'm prepared to shoot under your guidance etc at any other site if need be.

looking at those interested so far, locations, approximate locations or a wild guess

I did this map

so based on that, what about this general area

I'm limited in knowledge to what good grounds that are in that location, that will allow us to participate and have non shooters shoot with us depending on their rules and regs Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I'm the Salisbury person and based on my workload both personally and privately am quite tied up for the rest of 2014 so would hate for you to base your search around equitable distances when I am very likely to not be able to make it anyhow.
I'm not pulling out but just want to make things a bit easier for everyone else.

Thanks for the reply, it's planning so might be next year anyway but as said previously it might be good to head a further south for a change Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

There is a very good site at Risley (just north of Bedford) called Sporting Targets, it has a good sporting layout as well as skeet and compact sporting. I'm not sure on price as I've not been for a while.

If you come up as far as Coniston and I am free I will come along.

Not being miserable, but prepared to drive to the Midlands. Am I allowed in my D3 or would I have to bring my wife's FL2?

As I live just north of Nottingham can suggest these places, only been to the top one regularly and they seem to be fine and nice people and can probably sort something out if you call them. The second I've heard good things about but never been, they're about 5 mins away from the first. The last ones are just off J25/J24 of the M1.

The top two certainly don't require membership and licence owners can turn up and shoot, I think its about £12 for 50 sporting if you provide cartridges and gun. They're happy to have licence owners supervise 1 non owner.

Edit: A lot of my derbyshire people go here and rave about it, but cannot vouch for it having never been:
