amber abs warning light

just went back out in my car after its been parked up a little while.

The Amber ABS light came on, just after i started it, with the HDC system not available message, it went out after a period of about 10 seconds, and pressing the HDC button, the green car came on the dash.

I used my cheapo fault code reader and no codes were there

is it something to worry about?

When parking up before i went out again, there was some mud on the road, so when parking the abs kicked in for a fraction of a second, could this just fooled the system? Question Idea

just had a Amber Triangle with a circle around it, flashing on and off this morning, no faults stored again

a glitch or a issue? ABS or something else

I recall it been just on, and not flashing when it happened previously

is it a something that i need to get LR Assistance out on?

Even with a video of it flashing

Because the second warning (Dynamic Stability Control) originates from the first (ABS module), there's the possibility of a wheel sensor or connection problem.

Just had a call from the garage, it's been diagnosed with a YAW sensor

So that's been swapped out, though I believe the LRA computer said lateral sensor, but it also list a series of codes afterwards

Should be ready later today Smile Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The YAW rate and lateral acceleration, whilst not the same, will possibly be measured by the same sensor unit Thumbs Up

Unusual for a Yaw Rate sensor to fail. It's normally packaged at the point C of G or thereabouts.
The Yaw Rate sensor in my car has only been called into action once when Mrs Pegleg was driving on ice and the DSC warning came on. It straightened the car out in a jiffy and she was completely unaware what had happened. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

The code the LRA found was lateral sensor but according to the garage they found the yaw sensor was to blame

I suppose on time will tell, but they have informed me the brakes are squeaking and the high level brake light is out

Will copper slip the brakes and the brake light bulb will be replaced, standard or led Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
