I suppose then we'd find out just how many Ford compenents there really are in our FL2's ...

Engine is Ford - Peugeot - Citroen so there should be no problems there although the FL2 has only one turbine as opposed to the two in the engine they did with PSA for more torque as opposed to more HP.
Terrain Response is a LR trademark and as Ford did not put it on other models seems to stay only with LR.
Damper and gear boxes are done probably by independent companies.
Haldex is Sweedish
Wich leaves with the satnav which we might loose

The guys over at Disco said " Disci 3 AMG soon" so why not FL2 AMG ?
Also seems that Daimler trusts TATA to paint the cars they are selling in India. Or was it to wash them ?

Now just think of which companies Mercedes also sell their outdated engines to - they don't sell current generation kit to 3rd parties. Let's see - Jeep, Chrysler, Ssassonyang, and a few other makers of less desirable cars..................

I am sure TATA has deal with Ford in what concerns parts and spare aso because I don't think they bought it just to find out later that they have to stop production due to parts shortages.
I think this is more to boost confidence in TATA management and products by putting TATA and DAIMLER in the same sentence. Thought Daimler Crsler diesels are not exactly best in the world.

I heard TATA deal includes parts from Ford - for 5 years I think!

I had a Jag and when I looked under vehicle most parts had FORD written on them - but I also had an Mg and when they went under it turned out Caterpillar were the parts supplier - may be same with LR

I think caterpillar bought 'unipart' the mg rover parts people

Don't you worry about (spare) parts for our Freely 2's. TATA has made sufficient arrangements with Ford to ensure availability for at least the next 10 years. As Mercedes holds (at present) 7% of the TATA-shares they
have made availability of spares a precondition for the LR-deal with Ford.
