Door lock

Hi all,
Car has been parked up since 10ish this morning in high temperature we are having at the moment, went to get in it about 4.30 and when shutting the door it just bounced off the catch and wouldn't secure, pulled it a bit harder and was ok , then when I got home tried a few times and same again , was ok if you were brutal with it,

Any ideas?
Could something have expanded in the heat , will try it again later when cooler, have lubricated a bit as well

Andy

If you are still having trouble with the door maybe check to see if door lock screws are tight , also that the stricker screws are tight and the striker itself has not moved.
However when I had a similar problem on my old disco it was down to wear in the latch.

Hi tiny tim ,
It's been ok since, did give it a squirt of silicon spray but couldn't see anything causing it
