When you have the screen with the two buttons on the left and the LR badge on the right, the top left button will which you first press to use the sat nav, this button will act as though it has been pressed, every now and then it will become as though you can press it again, but it will grey out again as it is still loading the new data. Thumbs Up

Update

I put the original disc back in last night, checked this morning not expecting to see any difference, there was none.

The wife went out to the daughters in the car I told her to leave the Satnav on the navigation/settings screen (with the greyed out navigation button) when she started the car after visiting the daughter the blue button reapeared and all seems to be working OK can't check completley cause she's Censored off out again Rolling Eyes What if there were no hypothetical situations?

Had to re-read the thread to see who Yves13 was Smile

I noticed Andy T asked if anybody had any more codes for the diagnostic menu, so is any more info available, I guess that somebody must know what all the codes are, now I know the screen is there I would like to take full advantage of it ,be it helpfull or not. What if there were no hypothetical situations?

I have updated my Sat Nav with a 2011 Volvo set which work fine so far. I noticed on the Volvo web site a pdf which refers to there being over 4500 speed cam locations on the UK disk. However, as you know, there is no selection/poi set for speed cams on the LR front end. Anyone know if there is a means of getting at the speed cams/adding a button using the diagnostic menu? 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the Volume mute of the navigation.

I find it VERY annoying the music mutes completely everytime the nav has something to say (and she's a very chatty lady!!!)

I know what you mean, she always buts in at a crucial moment, "We interrupt this program for a severe weather warning..... in 200 yds, in 300yds turn left and after 100yds turn right..... but tomorrow it should be sunny again" Rolling Eyes

Just a quickie about updating the SatNav.

I did mine a few weeks ago with the new Sat Nav disc.

The message that appears does say it should take 15 mins, but mine took about 70 mins altogether (I did panic a bit, but left it to do its thing).

During this time the screen went on/off a load of times, was stuck on a black screen at times & I also got a low battery warning after about 30 mins (at which point I took a gamble & started the engine, which was OK, it didnt interrupt the process).

When I did mine I had the engine running already (have seen the low batt notice before - didn't want to go there). Got the 15 min update notice so left it running and went indoors and had a coffee... When I came back it was done. Thumbs Up One thing I have noticed: although I updated with a Volvo disc, I still have all the LR dealerships referenced! How's that then? I guess Volvo send out updates to registered owners FOC - how long I don't know. If the car has been sold on the discs end up on the web.... Certainly a lot cheaper than advertised LR discs! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)
