2013 Freelander 2 TD4 Dynamic Manual Santorini Black
Sat Nav problem

Hi there
I have a 2013 dynamic.
Could anyone assist me with my sat nav problem. It used to give a warning every time I approached a speed camera. Now for some reason this has stopped. Everything else is the same. Have I turned it off by mistake?
Thanks. Paul

As far as i'm aware the Land Rover satnav doesn't do speed cameras.

Mines a my13 ... How do you add the speed cameras .. Just got another 3 points today ..36 in a 30 so this would be a really helpful feature .. As I'm on 6 points now and did the speed course last month ... Bad luck must have run its 3 times now..

I remember doing this when I got the MY13 last September. There's an option for turning warning sounds on and off when you install POIs. I took the POIs out as I thought they were a nuisance. If you can't find out how I'll look it up tonight.

It's about time they did that it was a big surprise to me to find no speed cameras on mine after i had given my son my Tom Tom with newly updated cameras on just before i got the Freelander.

Thanks goes to a poster on the babyRR forum for the instructions, same system for FL2 MY13 onwards:

1 - Subscribe to pocket gps world £19.99 a year.
2 - Download the database in GPX format or convert it to GPX if not already
3 - Copy it to the root of a USB memory stick.
4 - Connect it to the car.
5 - Then follow the instructions in owner’s manual (MY POI) as below

1. From the Nav menu, touch More....
2. Select Stored locations.
3. Touch My POI
4. Select Add to individually select each POI group to be downloaded. Select Edit to change Name, Icon or Sound icon. Or select Delete.

When set-up, the warning sound (small selection) will activate either when using map only (by selecting Nav), or when a destination is planned. It seems to have a standard activation trigger, but I haven't measured if is based upon speed & proximity or just distance to the POI (speed cam)
