New Freelander

Is the FL2 replacement going to be called a Discovery Sport? According to MotorTorque it may well be.

Some spy shots in this link, nothing we haven't seen before, if it is the New Freelander, not convinced myself. Also news on the MY15.

Australia 2007 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Tambora Flame

Not specifically FL2 related, but related to the new Disco http://www.drive.com.au/motor-news/land-ro...36c9k.html

Also, I read yesterday that Tata are to release a model in India that is heavily based on the FL2 but won't be a Land Rover. 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Lago Grey

Just what we need - more useless gimmicks which serve only to put the price up and keep the marketing men happy! (That doesn't seem to have been published on the 1st, so I guess they're serious Rolling Eyes )

I hope they don't go with the Sport designation either - leave the sporty pretentions to the Range Rovers, the Discoveries should prioritise the 4x4 side of things. But somehow I doubt they're going to.

Some more video of the 'Discovery Sport' in testing in the US here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n92NYQp0i6s

Australia 2007 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Tambora Flame

Acknowledging that this is a concept and not necessarily the final model, the pictures in this article show all angles. It is a bit of a bubble car but it is growing on me.

http://www.drive.com.au/motor-news/new-lan...36oh1.html

Just hurry up an reveal the actual FL2 replacement. 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

I'm undecided on the concept... that said it is to gage public interest and I'm sure feed back will be seen and acted on.

I'm not sure how it will fit with the disco yet and they are typlically work horse / genuinly used in mud but this looks too blingy.

On another OT note - saw loads of FFRRs today.... not sure about the back.
