I seem to have a problem with the engineering mode on my SDD.

I can go all the way along but it stops at the "Have (a lot of) patience when the whole firmware database is read." bit

I don't see anything more apart from the top line.

It sat for over an hour and nothing happened, see below

I tried to access the eng mode with one of my Jags, but I don't see any of the tabs on the left at all, which makes me think that there might be an error with my SDD install (but everything else works OK?)

I saw another possibility to reflash the IC within the eng mode, see below

But I didn't try it, not sure if this would create problems or not...

Any help would be appreciated!

You can use something like this:
http://www.drewtech.com/products/Mongoose/mongoosejlr.html

Or something like this:

Yes.
One has linearization of temperature, the other doesn't.
See text files in each folder for explanations.

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Zermatt Silver

Big thanks to Alex on this one, I only just discovered this thread today although I've followed quite a few of your discussions over on the Disco3.co.uk site, anyway I'm happy to say that I now have your "version 6" installed via my Nanocom Evo.

I have been wanting to get the "clock in dash" feature enabled on my FL2 same as I had on the D3 but I was struggling to find a compatible fileset for it, anyway I've now got that plus all the other goodies too Thumbs Up

Alex, you're a genius Bow down

Is it possible to have an instrument cluster flashed to add the extra displays off the vehicle and just swap the clusters?

United Kingdom 2007 LR2 i6 HSE Auto Alaska White

Hello,

although this is my first post, may I say how wonderful this group is, so much information and help. It is humbling to know that so many people give up their time and expertise to help others. Thank you all.

My apologies for opening up an old thread but we would love to obtain Alex Pescaru's update for the centre dash information posted earlier in this thread.

..."Revision 5
https://www.freel2.com/gallery/albums/userp...D_rev5.rar
Password: revision5
Add-ons:
1. Clock on dash
2. Autobox gear display for Drive and Sport
3. Correction/linearization of the temperature gauge.
4. Battery voltage as a new item on the on-board computer
5. Instant speed as a new item on the on-board computer ..."

We have a 2007 LHD LR2 i6 HSE

Once again aplogies for opening up such an old thread.

Kind regards,

Emma

France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Tambora Flame

Hello, very interesting thread of discussion, I would simply know or found the vbf tool software to be able to modify the file of my IPC module, because I have a freelander 2 TD4 SE years 2007 and therefore without the BVA, replaced my IPC file by those already created would therefore unproductive.
I would simply like to have all the modifications of the last revision (6) but without the BVA indications to the IPC module
Thank you in advance for your lights.
