Fuel level indicator problem

I've had occasionally the common problem of wrong indication in the fuel level (i.e. the level of fuel indicator drops unrealistically when there is actually fuel n the tank). The diagnostic device recorded the following message "P-1346-13, DTC Fuel level B sensor circuit, sensor input > 90% of sensor supply 5V". Does anyone knows what it means exactly and what I should do?

There are numerous potential cause for this.

In many cases this has been caused by corrosion in the in-tank plug connection for the 2 in-tank senders. As a result, in the early days, it was usually cured by changing the senders - unplug the old one plug in new one and the plug connection is restored.

However, once it was realised that the problem was usually the plug connector and not the sender, the repair now is often to cut the connectors out and crimp the wires together.

The TSB is available in Topix and has had at least 4 versions IIRC. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green
Evoque SD4 Auto Blue.
FL1 HSE TD4 Manual Black - Gone.
RR Classic V8 EFI - Gone
