Door Operators

I have a 2008 LR2

We have experienced an unusual situation where all of the doors will open from the inside of the vehicle using the interior door handles, with the exception of the front passenger's door. This is in Canada.

However all of the doors, including the front passenger door will open from the outside.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem.?????

This is because Canadians are famous for their coutesy and allways open the passanger door from the outside for their ladies.

This sounds like a fault - may simply be lever disconnected - definitely a safety issue. Shocked

I assume it is nothing to do with autolocking feature confusing passenger - I have had passengers telling me handle will not work before I explained it Embarassed

I would go to dealer ASAP

No I do not think it has anything to do with the autolock, although it may be a possibility. My wife enjoys the problem, because I have to open the door for her. She is having a wonderful time.

I thought it may have something to do with the air bags for some reason. I have checked the fuse panel in the rear of the vehicle, there is a fuse for each door but they one for this particular door is ok. I will check the others tonight, just in case.

I have informed the dealer, they will look at it at 12000 kms.

My wife uses the vehicle 99% of the time. I get it on Fridays for a treat. I called my wife and asked to make sure to have any guests sit in the back seat until the problem is resolved.

Its a fault!......

My passenger door wont open from the outside or inside unless you press the unlock button on the dash whilst simultaneously pulling the black catch on the door handle! not very convenient, but the dealer has ordered a new catch so the FL is going back AGAIN for fixing.

In the 6 months Ive had the car I havent had to clean it much myself as its had a regular valet at the dealership every 6 weeks or so! Confused vroom vroom.........
