I had the same problem happen to me today. I have just had the Yakima racks installed.. the sunroof almost works, but catches in a couple of spots.
As a consequence the sunroof was limited in its range due to detecting the obstacle.
Fortunately I had the AP200 and it allowed me to reset the roof in less than 5 minutes. Mine Freelander is the is the 2013 model.. woo hoo.. the missus was about to strike.

My sunroof has never closed properly since I bought it 7 years ago. Always had to hold the button until it was virtually shut, then touch it a few times until it's fully closed. If I overdo it by the tiniest fraction, it goes through it's cycle of opening again by about an inch. I've just got used to it and can get it to close 9 times out of ten without it opening again.

If you know someone who has the Autel AP200 it might be just the thing to help you with that. It saved my bacon yesterday.. mine was stuck open and only moved through a 3-4" range?
