United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Sumatra Black
Mine, all mine!

At last, after months of anticipation and negotiation I have become a Freelander 2 owner. I picked up my 3 month old black TD4 SE auto yesterday from Charles Hurst in London (thanks very much chaps) and then drove it 241 miles home to Blackpool. Fantastic day, one I'll never forget. This has been a massive thing for 'the Boss' and I to spend that kind of money on a vehicle but if first impressions are anything to go by it is money well spent. I love it! I even had my 6-30am brew in it this morning - in dressing gown and slippers!! Thumbs Up

Glad to be aboard!

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about my car! It's been a long time coming and the feeling of 'Wow!' is with me all the time.

Cheers lads.

Even with 35k miles on the clock I still go out and drive just for the 'hell of it'. In the early days of ownership I was always looking for excuses to go out, just nipping to B&Q or Halfords or is there anything you want from Tescos dear !!!

I don't bother with the excuses now, I just say I'm off out for a drive! A couple of weeks ago when we had some snow I clocked up over 250 miles over the weekend, on three drives 'just for the hell of it'

I covered 600+ work miles mon-wed this week but have worked at home yesterday and today, I know I'll be out for a drive later .... Thumbs Up

Surprised that you managed to find a black FL2 at Charles Hurst!! Got my black HSE from the same dealer, good experience and the FL2 is still making me smile.
Having read Freel2 last night, I had to drag management away from her ironing board to show her the windows open on the fob. It impressed me.

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Zermatt Silver

We got Zermatt Silver S with leather (and loadspace cover and spare wheel with a bit of haggling) 08 four weeks ago.
It is truly superb coming after owning a Disco TD5 which ran like a tractor. This is like nothing in comparison.
No problems as yet 650 miles on clock but I cannot get any better than 28.2 mpg. Excellent forum by the way.
Good to see some other S owners as I initially thought most folks had HSE spec. Great sense of humour too.
Chicken George (A bit of a legend by the looks).

Best wishes to all.

Donmac disco td5 gone at last.
