Hi guys , I ordered a new car 2 weeks ago last Friday and I'm collecting it sept 1st. When do you guys think it will be at the dealership ? I'm hoping it's going to be in sometime this week so that I can go and see it before all the bits I ordered are fitted.

Personally, I would wait, if it's not polished up and stuck in a car pound with stickers etc on it then it will disappoint, wait until the big day and see it in all its glory

I take it your buying from Taggarts in Motherwell ?

What you could do is have a walk round at the end of the week and see if it has been delivered, they probably have a holding compound round the back.

Personally I like to see the new car "as delivered" to the dealer, with all the stickers and protective plastic, etc on

maybe I'm a bit perverse !!

Hi Iain , I'm getting the car from morrisons in Stirling (30 min drive) . Like you I like to see the car before it gets tarted up.

wouldn't do any harm to pop in and have a snoop around then !!

but I think Morrisons would be happy to let you have a preview anyway if you asked.

Dealer called today saying car is just off the transporter .. I had to go and see .. Man is it braw .. Can't wait for sept 1st .. As long as dvla do the reg transfer in time.

Personally I wanted to see my car fresh of the transporter and photos are on my bio! That way you can note any marks that may get temporarily hidden with polish on the day that you collect her! It's the best thing to do as you get to see what it looks like before being dressed and you can see what state it arrived in. One thing I noticed is the headlights, yours have a black panel in the lower corner, whereas mine is silver, is the an across the board change at some stage, never really noticed before?
