I already have the two rear pillar speakers and I will get the CCF mod done, I don't have the 6 CD player but understand that it's not required as long as you have the correct DD amp! Very Happy

Is the CCF mod a simple task i.e. use a diagnostic reader and select a box that says premium sound system? Or is it a trip to the local LR dealer!

A dealer won't do this for you. I know a guy in Essex who can, otherwise have a look in the threads on this forum regarding the headlight upgrades, any garage who was able to edit the CCF for the headlight upgrade will be able to do the same for the Premium Sound. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

I don't think a hawkeye can do this but a nanocom can.

Nanocom can do it, but you need a version with the Freelander 2 license. And you also need an account with Blackbox to edit the CCF using their Genesis tool. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

Thanks Cambo, clearly a it bit more involved than first thought, I have a local LR specialist who I will ask if they can edit the CCF and if not then perhaps a trip to Essex maybe required. I will post as I progress, centre dash speaker on order and DD Amp on its way.

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Loire Blue

So Pat and the team at GAP came across with the goods again.Changed the 2.1 level 1 [no nav]head unit for 2.1 level 3 with nav. GAP provided the necessary options in CCF and heres the result

Just need to figure out what cable i need for gps antenna and i'm sorted. I know it's on the Evoque but process should be same for later FL2's with Meridian audio. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

So the maps are on DVD instead? You fitted a DVD drive for the Nav? I don't really understand here...

I was under the impression that all JLR vehicles since around 2010 or so use hard disc only

http://www.landrover.com.au/ownership/navi...pdate.html

As for an upgrade from the small display to the full size touchscreen, it did not look feasible using OEM wiring, I looked at it a couple of times. http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic25691.html

But in the meantime I learnt that on the Evoque there were cars with the base audio (non-Meridian) but with the full-size touchscreen and no nav. So the wiring for that combination does exist. But as far as I can tell it is also only complete harness' no adapter looms or plug & play parts.

I suppose it could be done by making a custom loom though... 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers
