Osram replacement front FOG Lamps with DRL kit

Nice bit of kit just launched by Osram, price is as good as I can get at 」190 inclusive ....Due into stock soon

Fits Discovery, Freelander 2, Sport and many other cars

This new addition provides an LED Fog Light with an even light output;
the unit uses light guide technology for the DRL function and also incorporates assisted cornering (activated when indicating)
This standard sized FOG DRL fixture has been designed to replace most modern halogen fog lamps and is the first on the market to incorporate assisted cornering. The FOG DRL creates a wide beam angle providing an increased vision on the road ahead in poor weather conditions.
When the FOG lights are not in use the DRL function is activated enabling drivers to be seen by other road users more easily.

The DRL side of them looks very effective. I can't help but think that as a foglamp though, the White would be too bright, subsequently reflective and not much cop at cutting through fog. I suppose that you could always paint the foglamp LED element yellow like the French used to do. Good idea in principle from Osram mind you Thumbs Up Foraging near Gaydon....

I would be very surprised if these didn't fit the bill, they are Osram after all and "E" marked

Too much light on Fogs is pointless anyway. Paul Redding

Have you had a chance to use them in fog yet? As you say they are really bright I wondered if there is a reflect back problem like you get with full beams? Paul Redding

Not yet! Although the light patten looks good, should be fine as it is Osram after all. The kit also feels like a quality product.

They look very good. There should be a few of these kits sold on here methinks....seems a lot less ball-ache than changing headlights over to MY2013 versions. Foraging near Gaydon....
